About PhysioFit STRONG classes

PhysioFit Strong sessions are 50 minutes long and are restricted to a maximum of 4 participants per class. This ensures your teen receives close supervision and expert technique instruction.

To start, one of our instructors will assess your teen’s current strength level and discuss their goals. We then establish a plan that works around their existing training. Keep in mind, the off-season is a PERFECT time to start or progress their strength training.

A highly effective program for those in high-performance sports such as rugby, basketball, rowing or football, PhysioFit Strong offers a perfect platform for teenagers wanting to smash their sporting goals.

 

One on one Initial Assessment

Our initial assessment is the cornerstone of ensuring that your teen gets the most out of our PhysioFit Strong classes.

In the initial assessment one of our physios will take your teen through a thorough screening. This will involve taking a full history of any relevant injuries and importantly what your teen’s goals are in the gym. We will then take some measurements to do with your teen’s strength and flexibility. In the gym they will go through some basic lifts and take some video footage to analyse and provide feedback regarding technique. By doing this we ensure that your teen will not only be safe in the gym but will maximise their benefit when they commence the classes.

 

How do the classes work?

We believe that close supervision and feedback are crucial for success in the gym. This is why we limit numbers in the class to four participants. Classes are led by one of our experienced physiotherapists to ensure your teen is using perfect technique and progressing appropriately with their gym training.

Classes run for 50 minutes and each participant will have an individualised program.

We will offer eight classes per week so you can choose the times that suit best.

On average it is recommended that for ideal progressions teens are in the gym two to three times per week.

 

How much do the classes cost?

PhysioFit Strong classes cost $45 per session and are purchased in packs of eight. Classes will be run in two 4-week blocks – commencing in late November and running through until the end of January 2022.

Alternatively we are offering a summer membership for our gym classes. For only $85 per week your teen will be able to train up to three sessions a week. Summer memberships are either four or eight week memberships.
