Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Our body’s ability to detoxify itself is spectacular, although excess food, alcohol intake and withdrawal from physical activities can make it difficult for the body to keep up. Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) encourages the natural circulation of lymph fluid and can increase the rate of lymph drainage in the body by up to 20 times.

MLD is a light pressure treatment with rhythmical pumping hand movements aiming to stimulate the lymphatic system situated right below the skin. The lymphatic system is not only a major route for the absorption of nutrients from digestion into the tissues, but it is also one of the main channels of elimination in our bodies.
